Venerable Dr. Jongmae Kenneth Park
Bishop of the Overseas Parish

Bishop of the Overseas Parish for the Taego Order of Korean Buddhism. He is the founder of the Institute of Buddhist Studies Austria (IBS) and the International Mook Rim Society. From 1995 to 2004 he was a Faculty Fellow and Buddhist Director at the University of Southern California and, since 2007, he has held a professorship at Loyola Marymount University—a Jesuit Catholic university.
Venerable Hae Doh Gary Schwocho

Besides being a monk (sunim) and the abbot of Muddy Water Zen, he also 'wears the hats' of father and veterinarian. Previously on the path to ordination as a Presbyterian minister, in 1997 he received the precepts (formally became Buddhist) from Ven. Samu Sunim of the Buddhist Society for Compassionate Wisdom. Later he became a Dharma student of P'arang Geri Larkin of Still Point Zen Buddhist Temple (Detroit) where he was ordained a Dharma teacher in May 2003.

Muddy Water Zen was established in November 2003. In November 2007, Hae Doh (formerly Kogam) was re-ordained a monk in the Korean Buddhist Taego Order by Ven. Dr. Jongmae Park, Bishop of the Overseas Parish of the Taego Order.

Reverend Hye Kyong Richard Borland

Currently the president of the Muddy Water Zen Board of Directors as well as an ordained Dharma Teacher (bup sanim), Rev. Hae Kong has been with the sangha since its
inception. He began his training under the guidance of Ven. Hae Doh, later completing his studies under the direction of Bishop Dr. Jongmae Park and the Institute for Buddhist Studies, affliated with the World Buddhist Institute and
Dong-Bang Buddhist College of South Korea. Rev. Hae Kyong was ordained in April 2009.
